NEW UK, UNITED KINGDOM – Students from all over Asia minor and the globe graduated from Rental Oak State College Sunday.
The New Britain-based about the net degree program has its brick-and-mortar home at Central Connecticut Circumstance University, where graduates crossed the particular stage inside the Welte Auditorium.
With over 600 adult men and women in attendance, 240 of the 615 graduates attended the commencement.
Student speaker Laverne Littles recounted countless obstacles that the lady had to overcome in order to earn your girlfriend’s degree, also acknowledging that most attached to her classmates had their own concours to conquer before commencement.
“The rules of the limitations, failures, downfalls and changes that say we should not be here this morning – we are all exceptions to those limitations, ” Littles said. “Congratulations Training of 2019. We made it! ”

This year’s Honorary Degree recipients were Yvette Mendelez, a founding member of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system and Peter Reinhart, a Charter Oak alum and James Bear Award-winning article writer. Both addressed graduates during the celebrations, encouraging them to follow their aspirations and continue along the path within success.
The school’s Alumni Association provided volunteers handy out programs and welcome audience. Member Lisa Wilson fondly given her own graduation day, in April 2013.
“The fantastic Charter Oak is that it came to every one of us at a time when we needed which it the most, ” Wilson said.
She went on to point out simple fact vast majority of students who follow an online degree have life predicaments that stand in the way of a more traditional universities. Many are single parents working nearly always to support their families, for example. Some used to be laid off from jobs, or are older people who never had the opportunity to head down to college the first time.
“I’m extremely happy with my experience found at Charter Oak, ” Wilson says.
For the second year or so in a row, the school graduated a grouping of students from its newly-established Masters over Science program.
Finally, the graduating class as a whole featured associated with local residents.
