Drivers should expect delays to their journeys today as the Bank Holiday rush in Bristol begins.
Heavy traffic is building in Staple Hill near the High Street. Traffic reporting system said: “Reports of heavy traffic due to accident on B4465 High Street near A4017 Soundwell Road.”
There have been reports of a crash in Redland this morning (April 30) between Downfield Road and Beaconsfield Road. Inrix said: “Reports of accident on Downfield Road around Beaconsfield Road. Traffic is coping well.”

Further delays have been reported on roads around Bristol due to increased traffic in the area. The M32 and the A4 are among some of the main city routes affected today.
