Bristol traffic LIVE: Drivers warned to prepare for busy roads in Bank Holiday rush

A route on the M5 near Bristol has become partially blocked after a crash on the carriageway. The crash occurred along the route near junction 21 for Weston-super-Mare today (August 29).

Meanwhile, it’s set to be another busy day on the roads around Bristol today on the last day of the Bank Holiday weekend.

The AA issued an amber traffic warning last week telling drivers to expect major delays across the UK. It estimated that 45 per cent of UK drivers will have hit the roads between Friday and Monday with around 15 million trips planned for the weekend.

Today (August 29) is expected to be busy with many people will be making their way back home. Delays and traffic queues are expected on the M4 and M5 routes near the city.
