Clifton nightclub stabbing: Charges ‘being considered’ one year on from injury of four males

Charges are being considered a year on after nine people were arrested following “significant disorder” outside a nightclub in Clifton. Police were called to Queens Avenue at 2.45am on October 31 last year to reports of people fighting in the street”

Police confirmed four males were found stabbed and were taken to hospital after being treated by emergency services at the scene. A fifth male presented at hospital with similar injuries.

When the men were released from hospital they were arrested, along with four others. Pictures from the scene showed Beacon House, Pam Pams and other establishments behind a large cordon as well as a University of Bristol student bus

At the time police told Bristol Live: “Nine people have been arrested following significant disorder in the Clifton area of Bristol. (Sunday, October 31, 2021)

“Police were called at 2.45am to Queens Avenue, with members of the public reporting a number of people fighting in the street.

“Four males were found to have been stabbed. They were taken to hospital for treatment by paramedics. A fifth male also presented at hospital with a similar injury.”

“Of the five people taken to hospital, three have been discharged and two remain in for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. All five have been arrested.

“Four other people are also in police custody.

“A police cordon remains in place while officers continue to carry out enquiries at the scene. The neighbourhood team has been informed and additional high-visibility patrols are due to be conducted in the area going forward.”

In an update yesterday (Saturday, October 29, 2022), police confirmed: “We have submitted a file to the CPS to consider charges for seven people in relation to the incident that happened near Queens Avenue, Clifton, on Sunday 31 October 2021.”
