Coronavirus updates: Bristol cases and lockdown exit plans

Bristol now has 651 confirmed cases of coronavirus, following a rise of 11 positive tests in the last 24 hours.

Nationally, the number of people who have died of coronavirus has now reached 30,615 – the highest figure in Europe.

The Prime Minister is due to make a national address on Sunday (May 10), when it’s expected lockdown rules will be eased from the following day.

With temperatures set to soar this Bank Holiday weekend, police have urged the public to comply with the current lockdown restrictions.
