A criminal damage investigation has been launched following a blaze in the Kingswood area. Police and the fire service were called at around 12.45am to the incident at an industrial site on Moravian Road on Tuesday (January 24).
On arrival, the two crews from Kingswood and Temple found a fire that involved a “large amount of tyres and rubbish” to the rear of the warehouse building. Local footage captured a thick blanket of smoke pouring skywards from what appeared to be a large pile of rubbish that was set alight.
Avon and Somerset Police told Bristol Live that the fire is believed to have been started ‘deliberately’. Smoke has caused damage to a building on the site and a criminal damage investigation is now underway.
