Emergency services called after ‘sudden death’ of baby

Emergency services were called to a Henbury home today following the “sudden death” of a baby, police have confirmed.

A local woman described seeing “two ambulances and two police cars” on Norton Farm Road this morning (Thursday, November 18).

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has confirmed officers were called to an address on the road just after 7am.

Although the death is currently unexplained, police do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the tragic death.

The force’s spokesman said: “Emergency services attended an address on Norton Farm Road shortly after 7am this morning following the sudden death of a baby.

“While the death is currently being treated as unexplained, we do not currently believe there to be any suspicious circumstances.

“Our thoughts are with their family at this tragic time.”
