A Smart car found flipped onto its side in Bedminster is believed to have been the result of anti-social behaviour, say police.

Emergency services responded to reports of the overturned car near West Street on Saturday night, September 21.

A police cordon was put up blocking the A38 from Chessel Street to Hengaston Road.

The incident happened around the same time police were called to a violent brawl in the beer garden of a local pub at 9.50pm.

Three men were hospitalised and a number of others were injured in the fight at The Three Lions.

People were treated for lacerations and deep cuts.

Following both events the police cordon was moved slightly south along the road to encompass the pub.

However, the damaged silver car on Chapel Barton is not believed to be connected to the pub disturbance.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesperson said it did not appear to be a collision either.

Adding, officers believe it might be an incident of anti-social behaviour.

Police are continuing to make enquiries in relation to the pub brawl.
