There is a 999 presence in Bedminster this evening (August 23). It is reported that ‘armed police’ closed Marksbury Road shortly before 9pm.
Witnesses also reported seeing a police helicopter in the skies above the area at around 8.30pm. The reason is not yet clear.
Bristol Live has approached Avon and Somerset Police for further information.
