There will be some scorching weather for some across the country this weekend but Bristol can expect some more mixed conditions.

Mirror Online reports that the mercury could peak around 27-28C in parts of southern England, including London and the Home Counties, later today (Saturday, July 18).

However the Met Office says temperatures are only set to reach 20C here in Bristol this weekend – and there’s the odd chance of rain too.

Today’s forecast from the weather agency reads: “A dry start with some sunny spells. Through the day, cloud will thicken with some patchy light rain or drizzle moving in later.

“There will be a moderate westerly breeze.”
