Four huge trees have reportedly been blown over this evening (Sun Feb 16) in strong winds brought by Storm Dennis.

The incident has occurred on Clarence Road, Redcliffe.

Avon Fire and Rescue have confirmed on social media they are in attendance.

An eye witness, who did not want to be named, said: “Four massive tress are blocking the whole road. No one can get in or out. The police are here and the fir brigade were at some flats nearby and they are here now as well.”

It is believed the trees fell around 7:15pm.

A tweet from Bedminster Fire Station’s account said tree surgeons were on their way to deal with the incident but that people should stay away from the area.

The trees are not the only Storm Dennis incident tonight. A lorry has been blown over on the M5 near J21(Weston-super-Mare).
