Police have closed the M32 northbound between Junction 3 and Junction 1 following a serious road traffic collision at approximately 3.50am.
Motorway Police, Highways England and paramedics have responded to this ongoing incident.
Highways England have warned drivers to expect significant delays whilst emergency services respond to the collision.
Traffic is queuing for more than 1km according to Highways England Live Cameras.
Traffic monitoring website Inrix is advising that “All traffic being temporarily held and queueing traffic due to accident on M32 Northbound from J3 A4320 Easton Way (St Pauls) to J1 A4174 (Hambrook).”
Driver are advised to stay on the M4, find alternative routes to their destination or if they are stuck on the M32 approach the area with caution.
National Highways South-West tweeted at 4.20am: “The #M32 is CLOSED northbound between J3 and J1 following a serious collision.
According to Highways England normal traffic conditions are set to resume at 6.30am.
