M4 Prince of Wales Bridge closed after crash- updates

There has been a crash on the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge this evening.

The incident was first reported at 4.50pm today (October 28) and several vehicles are involved.

Police have now closed the bridge completely.

All traffic was temporarily held, the eastbound carriageway was released but Westbound remains stationary.

Inrix, the travel monitoring site reports: “All traffic being temporarily held due to multi-vehicle accident on M4 Prince of Wales Bridge Westbound from J22 M49 to J23 M48.

“The police have now closed the bridge.

“Diversion – via the Severn Bridge.”
