All traffic on the M5 northbound is being held stationary due to a police led incident this afternoon.
The incident on the northbound carriageway between junction 27 A361 (Tiverton) to junction 26 A38 (Wellington) is affecting traffic heading towards Bristol.
Traffic monitoring site Inrix first reported the incident at 3.17pm and traffic is currently building in the area as a result of the police incident.

Motorists should prepare to allow extra time onto their journey or find an alternative route to minimise disruption to their journeys.
