A Bristol man and a woman will stand trial after a man was attacked during a violent raid in Barton Hill.

Israel Baber 31, of Aiken Street, St Phillips, and Kelsey England-Chell 26, of Easton Road, Easton entered no plea during their first hearing at Bristol Magistrates Court yesterday (June 27).

And Baber denied an unrelated public disorder offence.

On Monday evening (June 24)  the pair are accused of attacking a 49-year-old man and stealing his JVC 40 inch flat screen TV and a Microsoft Xbox 360 games console.

They will next appear at Bristol Crown Court on July 26 for trial.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police confirmed, officers returned the stolen property to the owner.
