A Totterdown man has been charged with burglaries and driving offences.

Tyrone Love, of St Luke’s Road, is accused of two burglaries in Fishponds on Monday (July 20).

The 28-year-old is also charged with taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, and driving without a licence or insurance.

He is appeared at Bristol Magistrates’ Court today (July 24) and did not enter a plea.

The case has been adjourned to August 26 at Bristol Crown Court.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesman said the charges came about as a result of Operation Remedy.

The operation launched in April last year to “improve force performance” in tackling residential burglary, knife crime and the illegal supply of controlled drugs.
