A man has been arrested after staff at a Bristol takeaway were reportedly threatened with a broken bottle.

Police were called to Miss Millie’s in East Street, Bedminster, just after 8.20pm on Tuesday (February 9) by staff reporting they’d been threatened by a man, who stole cash before fleeing the scene.

Officers arrested a man in Booth Road at 8.26pm on suspicion of robbery.

He remains in police custody at the time of writing.

Avon and Somerset police has now launched an investigation, and have urged witnesses to come forward.

A force spokesperson said: “Investigations continue, and anyone with information or footage which could help is asked to call 101 quoting reference 5221029000.”
