A social club in Somerset was treated to a star-studded affair after A-list actor Nicolas Cage made an appearance on New Year’s Eve.
Whilst many of us spent New Year’s Eve at home or out with friends, visitors at Tramsways social club in Wells celebrated with Hollywood royalty reports Somerset Live.
And he even brought them drinks.
In a picture shared on the social club’s Facebook page on January 1, the caption read: “Our newest Member, Nicolas Cage.”
It quickly sparked a buzz with commenters saying how amazing it must have been while others said they wished they could have been there.
The 55-year-old star of National Treasure, Face/Off, The Rock and Con Air posed for pictures with locals and is said to have splashed out on a round of drinks for the whole pub, according to one Reddit user.
He was described as a “total legend” and “cool dude” following his visit.
Mr Cage is no stranger to the Somerset area, having previously bought a house in Baltonsborough, near Glastonbury .
The reason behind his latest appearance in the county remains a mystery for now, though.
He’s been seen in various locations across the county in recent years; Cage used to live in Bath, where he turned on the city’s Christmas lights in 2009, and he surprised staff at a pet shop in Frome when he dropped by in June, 2017.
