Police mounted a search after reports of a person walking in public wearing pyjamas and slippers.

PC Joe Iles tweeted on June 27: “Report of a person walking along the A4 Bath Road wearing pyjamas and slippers.

“Area tour but unable to locate, later received similar report and same description near Arnos Vale.”

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesman later confirmed the concern for welfare call happened on June 17.

He said: “A search was carried out but no-one found.”
