These pictures show the scale of a lorry which overturned, closing a stretch of the A4174 in Bristol.
Police have issued a statement after the crash at the Kingsfield Roundabout, near McDonald’s at Aspects Leisure Park, in Longwell Green, at around 10am this morning (May 17).
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said in a statement: “A road closure is currently in place at the A1474 at Longwell Green while emergency services attend the scene of a single vehicle RTC, in which a lorry has overturned.
“The incident happened shortly before 10am today (Monday, May 17).
“Enquiries are ongoing at the scene but there are not thought to be any life-threatening injuries at the current time.
“A traffic lane is expected to re-open shortly to ease congestion, but motorists are advised to seen an alternative route where possible.”
Pictures at the scene show the lorry is still overturned at the roundabout.
Traffic site Inrix said: “A4174 in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to overturned lorry from A4 Bath Road (Hicks Gate Roundabout, Hanham Mills) to Wraxall Road (Woodstock Roundabout, Warmley).
