A police cordon is in place in Old Market .

Officers were at the scene at 1.30pm today (July 7).

Pictures from Waterloo Street show a section of the road around 70 metres long has been cordoned off by police tape.

The road runs off West Street, between the Jack of Diamonds night club and Sofa Project.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said the force will be providing a comment on the incident shortly.
