Police officers seize vehicle after driver fails to stop in Bristol

Officers have seized a vehicle after a driver failed to stop in Bristol.

The driver was found to be committing a number of offences when NPT officers stopped them in Hartcliffe yesterday morning.

On closer inspection, officers found the person was driving without a seatbelt, with no insurance and driving at excess speed.

Police confirmed the vehicle was seized and enquiries are ongoing.

The police have powers to immediately seize, vehicles that are detected as being driven by drivers without insurance or a valid licence, and for the vehicle to be removed, released or disposed of according to the Avon and Somerset Police website.

You have seven working days from the date of the seizure notice or notice letter to reclaim your vehicle.
