Pranksters have created a foaming fountain in the city centre in what has become somewhat of a tradition in recent years.
A crowd gathered around the Cascade Steps this evening (September 21) after bubble bath was poured into the fountains, creating a huge ocean of foam.
Many took the opportunity to enjoy themselves in the impromptu foam party, with several families with young children getting involved in the fun.
Bristol Live reporter Tristan Cork said: “A huge crowd is gathering and small children are disappearing in it.”
“It’s the most I have ever seen.”

This is far from the first time the Cascades have been turned into a frothy wonderland.
Last year, a bottle of washing up liquid was emptied into it by some mystery japester, creating a bubbly fountain in the heart of the city.
The year before, children were spotted enjoying the foam after the fountains were unexpectedly turned into a bubble bath .
It is not clear who was responsible for tonight’s foam fun, but it’s more than likely it won’t be the last time.
