The Bristol Hippodrome Theatre is one of the largest theatre stages in Britain and has established itself as a major touring venue for major musical productions and has become known as Bristol’s West End Theatre.

January 10 and July 13 – Jimmy Carr – Terribly Funny

Comedian Jimmy Carr is coming to Bristol in January and July and his brand new show contains jokes about all kinds of terrible things.

The tour’s main feature is Carr talking about all the terrible things that happen in life – but he believes the best way to cope is to make jokes about these events and not to worry about political correctness.

January 15 to February 22 – The Book of Mormon

The Book of Mormon musical comedy is coming to the Hippodrome. From the creators of South Park, it follows the misadventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries.

The New York Times has described it as ‘The best musical of this century,’ and The Washington Post has described it as ‘the kind of evening that restores your faith in musicals.’

February 25 to February 29 – Beautiful – The Carole King Musical

Before she was Carole King and a chart-topping music legend, Carole was an ordinary girl with an extraordinary talent.

Beautiful tells the inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann.

May 31 – Wallace & Gromit: In Concert

Join everyone’s favourite dynamic duo for a special, family screening of The Wrong Trousers with live orchestra.
