BRISTOL – Amidst high wind gusts on Tuesday, a tree came down on Alba Drive, taking some utility lines down with it.

The tree uprooted in the front yard of a home near Jan Road. Firefighters were called around 2:52 p.m. They cordoned off the area around the street, closing it to motorists and pedestrians.

The lines that were damaged ran from a home to a utility pole. After the tree came down, they were left dangling across the road.

Firefighters said a few homes in the area lost power as a result.

A crew from Eversource responded to make repairs.

No injuries were reported.
