An injured man has been taken to hospital this evening (July 6) as two people have been arrested in Bristol city centre.

Emergency services were called to the Broadmead area at around 7.30pm after a report of public disorder.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary confirmed man and a woman were arrested around Union Street on suspicion of affray.

Another man went to hospital with head injuries. South Western Ambulance Service has been contacted for a comment.

Pictures taken at around 7.10pm showed emergency services on Penn Street, with queuing traffic.

In an unrelated incident earlier today, a man shocked passers-by on Gloucester Road after he smashed a window and lost large amounts of blood.

 

Police said they were looking into that event to see if any offences had been committed.
