BRISTOL – A city man was arrested late Tuesday and charged with violating his probation after he was found hiding in a shed in the area of Merriman Street.
Adrian Nadeau, 42, of no certain address in Bristol, was also charged with third-degree criminal trespassing and possession of a dangerous weapon, as he had a spring-loaded knife on him during his arrest, police said.
Two officers were dispatched to Merriman Street around 11:10 p.m. after receiving the report of a man popping out of some bushes. Police searched the area and found Nadeau hiding in a shed.
Police said they found that he was wanted for two counts of violation of probation. These stem from 2010 convictions of second-degree robbery and second-degree assault.
Nadeau is being held on $300,000 bond and was expected to be arraigned Wednesday in Bristol Superior Court.
