A Londoner was caught with a “drug dealer’s kit” in the back of his BMW after a 120mph motorway chase.
Dwayne Komakech had been taking the heroin and crack cocaine from Cardiff to the capital on January 23.
Police had tried to stop the 25-year-old’s car on the M4 near Swindon but he fled.
A chase that reached speeds of 120mph ground to a halt after Komakech turned off the motorway near Chieveley, Berkshire.
Inside the car officers found heroin, cocaine, knives and more than £2,615 in cash.
Komakech, of Leontine Close, Peckham, had previously denied possession with intent to supply class A drugs. But appearing before Swindon Crown Court this week via video link from HMP Bristol, he changed his pleas. He admitted dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, possession of a bladed article, possession of criminal property and possession with intent to supply cocaine and heroin.
His barrister, Christopher Surtees-Jones, said the young man had amassed a drug debt and was told he could pay off the debt by couriering the drugs from Cardiff, where he has associates, to London.
Judge Peter Crabtree remanded the dealer in custody to be sentenced on Tuesday, July 28. No request was made for a pre-sentence report.
Don Tait appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service.
