25-year-old South Cerney man assaulted two police officers

A 25-year-old man has been sentenced for assaulting two police officers in South Cerney.

Andrew McQueen, of Nightingale Way, South Cerney, pleaded guilty to assaulting both officers and drunk and disorderly behaviour when he appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on January 9.

Magistrates heard how McQueen assaulted the officers by beating at an address in South Cerney on December 13.

He was handed a community order, ordered to pay both officers £100 in compensation and ordered to pay a fine and costs totalling £135.
