THE A419 has re-opened following a crash between a lorry and a Land Rover.

There were long delays as police dealt with the aftermath of the accident between B4696 Spine Road East in Cerney Wick to B4040 Swindon Road.

A Wiltshire Police spokeswoman said: “We were called just before 11.15am today to a collision involving a lorry and a Landrover on the A419 southbound near South Cerney.

“The road is blocked and the central reservation is damaged. There are not believed to be any serious injuries.

“Both sides of the carriageway have been closed due to debris and fluids on the road.”

Both carriageways have now re-opened.

One lane is blocked on both sides in order for barrier repairs to take place.
