An air ambulance has been called to a serious crash on the M5 near Stroud.
Just before 7am this morning, there was a collision on the M5 northbound between Michaelwood services and J13.
A car has collided with the back of the lorry and come to rest against the central reservation.
Two lanes are currently closed with traffic passing in lane one.
All emergency services are on the scene.
Highways England is warning drivers that traffic in both directions will be stopped shortly due to the air ambulance being required.
A spokesman for Highways England said: “This is to create the safe sterile area needed to facilitate this.”
There are currently long delays of four miles on the carriageway.
