A 16-year-old boy was assaulted in Maypole Terrace, Paganhill yesterday afternoon.

At about 2pm, the teenager was assaulted by a man, believed to be in his 30s, who then left the scene.

The boy suffered facial scratches and bruises as well as a cut to the back of his head.

Stroud police would like to speak to a woman who spoke to the boy after he was assaulted.

During or shortly after the assault the woman stopped her car and asked the boy if he was ok.

Officers would like to speak to her or anyone else who was in the area at the time as they may have information which would help them with their enquiries.

Anyone with information is asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 278 of June 3.
