POLICE are appealing for information after a group of men tried to force their way into a property in Nailsworth.

According to a community alert issued by Stroud police, at around 6.30pm on February 28, a group of three male suspects attempted to force their way into the property in Churchill Road.

There is a suggestion that they may have been using a silver Mercedes or Audi car.

In the community alert, police said: “Were you passing the area around that time? If so, did anything strike you out of the ordinary or do any of the details given ring any bells?”

Contact Gloucestershire Constabulary by e-mail or phone call to 101 quoting incident number 379 of 28/2/202 if you have any information.

Police have also issued a warning following a number of attempted break-ins and car theft, in and around Stroud.

The community alert said: “Police would ask you to remain vigilant and take prompt action to ensure that your property and vehicles remain safe and secure.”

Report any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles to 101.
