A cyclist has died after he was seen falling from his bike in the Cotswolds yesterday evening.

At around 5.50pm, emergency services responded to an incident on Rissington Road, Little Rissington.

The cyclist, a 62-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin and the coroner have been informed.

The road was closed for several hours while officers carried out an investigation and is now open again.

Police would also like to thank those who provided assistance.

Any witnesses to the incident who have not yet spoken to officers are asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 389 of June 23.
