HELP is sought to find a former soldier with links to Stroud and Cirencester.

Matthew Gardiner, who is suffering post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), went missing on February 29.

Matthew’s family and friends are now appealing for help in finding him.

In a post on Facebook they wrote: “Matthew Gardiner has left his home and family behind in Southern Ireland after saying his goodbyes.

“He is suffering post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and needs our help to get him home to his loved ones where he belongs.

“Matthew’s family and wife are very concerned about his recent actions and just want him home

“The Irish authorities didn’t act quick enough, he’s made it to Dublin where he flew to Amsterdam.

“He has connections in Stroud and Cirencester, and has been living in Skibbereen, Cork, Ireland.”

Anyone with information regarding Matthew’s whereabouts is asked to contact Irish police via 112 quoting Incident number Ireland 17485519.
