Armed police at Gloucester train station after reports of man making threats to kill

Armed police arrested a man this morning following reports he was making threats to kill.

Gloucestershire constabulary deployed armed officers to Gloucester Railway Station shortly after 8.55am today following a report that a man had made threats to harm another person.

The officers could not locate the man at the train station but after attending a property on Ince Castle Way following further inquiries the 29-year-old was subsequently arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.

Searches will now be taking place at the address and police would like to reassure local residents that this was an isolated incident with no risk to the wider public.
