Audi seen speeding off after vans broken into in Stroud last night

SEVERAL vans were broken into last night in the Stroud area – and police believe a black Audi may have been used by the offenders.  

Four vans in different residential locations were targeted – with expensive power tools being stolen from two. 

Police say the offenders used cutting equipment to enter the vehicles, causing significant damage to all of them. 

DeWalt power tools were stolen from vans parked in Heather Close in Lightpill and Middle Street, Stroud.

Two other vans in Ash Road, Lightpill and Spider Lane were also broken into – nothing was taken but serious damage was caused. 

A black Audi was seen leaving the scene of one incident at speed around 10pm last night, Wednesday. 

Police are keen to identify the vehichle and are asking for residents to report any other suspicious sightings or behaviour in Stroud or Rodborough overnight.

Incident numbers for these crimes are 82 and 86 of today’s date – call 101 with information.
