A man was walking through Kingswood Park, off Edward Street, when he was approached by a stranger wearing a balaclava on Sunday, February 5.
The unknown man stopped and searched the victim’s clothing, taking cash and a watch, before leaving the scene.
The incident happened from between 3pm to 4pm
Avon and Somerset have described the offender as white, approximately 6ft 1ins tall, of slim build and was wearing a black Nike tracksuit and black Air Force trainers.
It is believed he has curly, blond hair which was sticking out from under the balaclava.
Police are now carrying out high-visibility patrols around the area and are urging anyone with concerns or information to speak with officers.
