A BODY has been found in the search for missing pensioner Sally Braff.

Ms Braff, from Coleshill, near Faringdon, was last seen at about 7.30pm on Sunday.

The 72-year-old suffered from dementia.

Thames Valley Police said officers were ‘extremely concerned’ for her welfare and urged people living in the area to check their gardens and outbuildings as she was likely to be ‘cold and confused’.

But yesterday police called off the search after they found a body in a rural location in Snowswick Lane, Buscot near Lechlade.

The formal identification is yet to take place officially, but the body found is believed to be Ms Braff’s.  Her next of kin have been told and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Inspector Roger Lamboll, based at Abingdon police station, said: “We have been very grateful to the public and the media for sharing our appeal, and it is tragic that we have this afternoon located the body of a woman.

“Our thoughts are with Sally’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
