A community is reeling after thieves targeted a property in Paganhill stealing tools and a significant amount of fishing equipment.

Sometime between February 6 and the 21, a thief stole fishing rods and a Makita cordless drill from an outbuilding in Lower Farmhill Lane in Paganhill, Stroud.

Both 9 foot and 13 foot rods were taken by the unknown criminal as well as the power tools.

Police officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything, or saw anything which seemed out of the ordinary, or have been offered similar items to buy.

The whole community has been shocked by the crime, and officers hope that neighbours may be able to help catch those involved.

Officers are also advising that out-buildings and sheds are securely locked, and alarmed if possible, and that valuable items are security coded.
