The vehicle crashed into Red Lodge on the site of Stonehouse Park Infant School & Children’s Centre in Elm Road around 9.30am
No one is believed to have been seriously hurt.
The road was closed while emergency services attended and a gas leak was reported.
It is now open again.
Red Lodge is a building used by the school and children’s centre situated by the main entrance.
The SNJ understands the school has sent a text to parents saying the site will be open as normal tomorrow, Monday, although it will be closed to the Acorns nursery class.
