Despite a late recruitment drive, Cashes Green FC has folded ahead of the new season.
Members of Cashes Green FC had sent out a plea for new players in a desperate bid to save the historic club.
In recent weeks the first team squad – the only side left – had 11 players committed before the new season.
The club – which was due to celebrate its 75th anniversary next year – has a rich history, including winning the County Cup in the 1956/57 season.
“It is with deep regret that we have decided to fold as a club after 74 years of existence,” read a statement on the club’s social media page.
