Cirencester joyrider caught on M4 after damaging Ford Mondeo

A Cirencester joyrider was caught on the M4 after damaging a Ford Mondeo.

Ethan Lewis, of Beech Grove, took the car without the owner’s consent and drove it on the M4 westbound near Chippenham.

The incident occurred on January 4.

Lewis pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking and vehicle damage under £5000, as well as driving without a licence and insurance, at Swindon Magistrates Court on February 2.

The 26-year-old was ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work and pay compensation of £400.

He was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.
