Cirencester man airlifted to Southmead after Chedworth crash

A Cirencester man was airlifted to hospital after his car collided with a tree in Chedworth on Tuesday morning.

His silver Vauxhall Astra veered off the road between Fossebridge and the Cherry Tree Cross Roads before crashing at around 10pm, causing the man serious injuries.

The road was closed overnight and the man, in his 30s, remains in Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

Police officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident and hasn’t already been spoken to as well as anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage.
