Comedy legend spotted in Dursley

Frank Skinner surprised staff, customers and residents as he spent the night at Ye Olde Dursley Hotel whilst walking the Cotswold way with his wife, sons and dog.

He admired the hospitality, warm welcome and commented on how quaint and friendly Dursley was, according to the hotel owner Stavros Antonio, who greeted the comedian and his family.

Mr Skinner was also said to have been polite and humble, an absolute gentleman.

The family went up to their room to freshen up then came back down to have a walk around town before coming back for some food.

After having food, Mr Skinner obluged customers with some conversation and selfies.

Frank Skinner is a well-known English comedian who, along with David Baddiel wrote and sang the lyrics to song The Three Lions.

More recently, he was also the host of BBC show Room 101 between 2012 and 2018.
