Sixth form students at Archway School in Stroud have been told to work from home after a student tested positive for Covid-19.
In a letter to parents, headteacher Kieron Smith said: “We have been advised that there has been a confirmed case of Covid-19 within the sixth form.
“As a precaution and because a close contact list has yet to be established, on Monday, October 12, all sixth form students shall need to work from home and shall not be allowed into school.
“At present, the school is only aware of one other member of the sixth form that has been asked to isolate, as a result of being deemed a close contact.
“Work has begun on establishing further close contacts, but until we have a definitive list, all Sixth Form students shall need to work from home.
“We shall communicate an update to sixth form parents during the day on Monday.
“The school remains open to other year groups and your child should continue to attend as normal if they remain well and have not been asked to isolate.”
