A DRIVER who was more than twice the drink-drive limit has been banned for 21 months.

Adam Farley, 40, of Berthas Field, Didmarton, pleaded guilty to the offence and driving without due care and attention when he appeared before Cheltenham Magistrates Court on January 30.

Magistrates heard how Farley was driving a Land Rover Freelander on the A433 near Tetbury on September 29 last year when he was under the influence of alcohol.

Farley was found to have 203 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, the legal limit being 80 milligrams.

He was banned from driving for 21 months and ordered to pay a fine and costs totalling £357.
