Drugs seized after police stop car on A429

Police found drugs on the occupants of a car stopped in the Cotswolds for breaching lockdown restrictions.

Cotswold police stopped a vehicle on the A429 today (Sunday, April 12).

The occupants were searched and drugs were found and seized.

Gloucestershire police say they have been dealing with a large volume of calls relating to breaches of social distancing guidelines.

In a post on social media they stated: “We’d like to thank everyone who has called in and inform you that our call handlers and officers are using the information to determine where patrols take place.”
