Drunk driver arrested after crashing into Audi near Stroud today

A DRINK-driver was arrested in near Stroud this morning after he crashed his van into a parked car.

Stroud Police arrested a man after he crashed into a parked Audi in Kings Stanley this morning.

The Audi suffered extensive damage. Police were alerted to the crash after a resident called to report the collision.

Police detained a man found to be driving the van who was two-times over the drink drive limit.

In a tweet Stroud Police said: “This is the damage caused to a parked Audi in Kings Stanley at 2am this morn when a van driver collided with it. Our thanks to the resident who called us in time for PCs Harrison & Jones to detain van man who was found to be 2x the #drinkdrive limit & was arrested.”
