Dursley teens arrested after man attacked in Gloucester

TWO teenagers from Dursley have been arrested in connection with an alleged unprovoked attack on a man earlier this week in Gloucester city centre. 

A man in his 60s was approached by three men on Sunday (January 8) in St Aldate Street near Kings Square at around 12.30am. 

They proceeded to kick and punch him in what is understood to be an unprovoked attack.

The man was left with serious injuries, including multiple fractures to his face, a black eye, cuts to his nose and forehead, and a broken ankle, which required surgery.

Police attended and two men were arrested.

Following further investigation work alongside CCTV operators in the Force Control Room, a third man was arrested later that day.

The three men, two from Dursley aged 18 and 19, and a 19-year-old from Chippenham, were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.

They have been released on bail while enquiries continue.

At the time of the incident the area was busy with people, according to Gloucestershire police.
